Daniel began his career many years ago at Nino’s Salon in
Birmingham; it wasn’t long before he worked his way up to an
expert stylist. His creative talent really shines through
with his precision short haircuts. He has a great love for
hair color and believes it should look as natural as
possible. He is well known for his highlighting abilities
which he learned years ago from Jon Gunther in New York.
Daniel is a natural at corrective hair color, “Color can
highlight and transform natural beauty. I love to accentuate
a woman’s finer features with a haircut and custom color.”
He revels in the relationships he has created with his
clients as well as the superior work of his staff.

DARLENE- Salon Co-Owner
Darlene, wife of Daniel, has been involved in the
beauty industry for many years. You can find her in
the salon at any given time working behind the
scenes. Her attention to detail contributes to the

Stylist
Celebrating over twenty years as a stylist, Barb’s
enthusiasm for this industry is contagious. “What I love
most is the ability to be creative on a daily basis, whether
it is a new cut or color technique, or creating an up-do or
formal hairstyle for a special event. The opportunity to do
something entirely new each day is something that can’t be
said about very many professions.” Barb loves interacting
with, and learning from so many different people as well as
the chance to brighten someone’s day and it shows with her
client retention. She keeps up-to-date with the latest
techniques and products through in-salon education as well
as industry trade shows and publications.

BECKY- Hair Stylist
Over 35 years ago Becky was drawn to this industry
by her admiration of the art of hair design, for its
sophistication, artistic freedom and fashion forward
style. She has expanded her creative talents and
honed her technical skills with ongoing classes and
workshops. Renowned for her brilliance in hair color
and color correction, she enjoys creating natural
looking highlights as well as dramatic and bold
colors. Her haircutting technique and approach are
very individual, with short to medium haircuts being
her favorite. She is precise and detail oriented.

JENNA- Apprentice
Jenna is among the newer additions to the salon and
we couldn’t be happier to have her here. She is a
welcome addition to the salon environment. She pays
great attention to detail; and therefore is quick to
absorb the coloring and haircutting techniques that
she is observing , while learning the basic
principles of cosmetology. Jenna specializes in Top
Secret Hair Pieces, and is in training to provide
clients with the John Sahag Dry Cut. Not to mention
she gives a great shampoo; we see star quality in
Jenna.

KATHY- Hair Stylist
With over 25 years in the beauty industry Kathy has
great vision, precision and style. Her experience as
an award winning competitor has brought her great
success in her career, with her most recent award
coming from Suburban Lifestyles “Up-do “contest.
Being in an ever changing industry, Kathy believes
in the importance of continuing her education by
attending classes and hair shows, thus keeping her
on the cutting edge of fashion. She has a keen eye
for hair color and although she enjoys all areas of
haircare, she excels at short hair as well as medium
length hair. Whether it is classy, sexy or funky,
Kathy can produce. She strives to create an
environment in which clients are at ease to express
themselves and their ideas, with her number one goal
being clients that are confident and satisfied with
their hair. As she is very detail oriented, you can

Some people are lucky enough to discover their
passion at an early age. Laura is one of them. With
over 20 years as an accomplished hair designer,
Laura has developed a creative and artistic talent
in cutting, coloring and styling. Having natural
curly hair herself, she understands the ins and outs
of curly hair. She also enjoys creating texture and
volume for clients with long hair that wish to
maintain their length. Laura's commitment to
communication is a great asset to her clientele,
allowing them to obtain the styles that they desire.

Liz grew up in the Rochester area and has been a
dedicated stylist for many years. She is a very
professional hair designer with a relaxed attitude

listens carefully giving her the ability to execute
on the clients vision. Liz is a skilled artist with
the scissors, and as a Certified Matrix Colorist she
loves to personalize color for each person to create
a vibrant and beautiful look. Her clientele is of
all ages, she loves to highlight the natural beauty
in all. She stays current with the latest trends by

and product knowledge.

has built her reputation over the years with great
attention to detail. She has mastered techniques in

Margie is passionate about hair design. With over 25
years in the industry she has great skill and an
immense dedication to both her work and her clients.
She has trained in N.Y.C., Chicago, and L.A. with a

both men and women. She enjoys coloring and
haircutting and loves the creative process of
combining the two. Knowledge of different techniques

NICOLE- Hair Stylist
A master stylist with 17 years experience and a
Technical Educator for Scruples Professional
Products Inc., Nicole says the excitement of helping
someone discover how beautiful they are never
diminishes. “I truly love what I do,” said the
stylist, who describes her work as “sophisticated
with a spark.” Vibrant, energetic and committed to
excellence Nicole seizes every opportunity to stay
current with the ever-changing trends in both hair
and fashion with specialized international trainings
like “The Global Design Academy,” “Training for
Tomorrow,” and “Trend Release 2007 & 2008.” When she
is not “behind the chair,” Nicole instructs other
professional stylists on the latest color and
cutting techniques through in-salon classes and
industry shows. Nicole created and maintains the
“Studio” portion of Daniels Salon & Studio—a
fine-arts-caliber gallery featuring the work of
renowned local & national artists and she
coordinates the annual “Hearts Inspired” Artworks
Auction/Gala to help “The Rainbow Connection” grant
wishes for children with chronic/life threatening
illnesses.

the runway at Americoif shows. Sandi keeps up with
the trends by attending industry hair shows, and in-
salon classes. She specializes in and has great

personality in customer service, pride in her work
and growing talents, she continues to absorb the

further her education including reflexology, spa
manicures, spa pedicures and nail treatments. This
commitment has led to her services being recruited
for print ads. Julie’s main goal is to pamper her

massage. She has given her gifted deep tissue massage to a

over 10 years and is an expert in facial esthetic
procedures. Her services include Botox, Dysport,
Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse, and also
available is Latisse (to enhance the growth of
eyelashes). Derma fillers restore volume and
